Whether you are new to scuba or an old hand looking for a refresher, Sea Advocate Scuba is the place for you.

We specialize in personalized scuba classes (all courses are NAUI published) from Open Water all the way through Divemaster, and courses are arranged around your timetable, pace, and comfort level. By learning to scuba dive with Sea Advocate Scuba you will gain the knowledge and skill to safely and confidently partake, enjoy and explore the underwater world. All at the same time having a fun, enjoyable, and stress-free experience.   

  • Entry level

    Adaptive Scuba Diver - Entry Level

    Description: This is a NAUI recognition program that provides diving credentials to persons with disabilities whose disability prevents them from achieving all the skills required for certification by NAUI standards.

    NAUI seeks to comply with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).

  • Open Water Scuba Diver – Entry level

    Description: Advanced Scuba Diver is a continuing education course for certified divers.

    • Designed to introduce divers to a variety of diving activities

    • Taught entirely in an open water setting.

  • Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver – Continuing education

    Description: This is a certification course for certified scuba divers who desire to assume greater rescue capabilities during diving activities.

    • Emphasizing accident supervision and management with practical applications in open water

    • Designed specifically to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to help prevent diving accidents

    • Recognize life threatening diving situations

    • Perform or supervise in-water rescues

    • Manage rescue operations and provide post-rescue aid.

  • Advanced Rescue Scuba Diver – Continuing education

    Description: Advanced Scuba Diver is a continuing education course for certified divers.

    • Designed to introduce divers to a variety of diving activities

    • Taught entirely in an open water setting.

  • Master Scuba Diver – Continuing education

    Description: This is a certification course for certified scuba divers who desire to assume greater rescue capabilities during diving activities.

  • Nitrox Diver – Continuing education

    Description: This course provides the information necessary to utilize EANx as a breathing medium.

    • Can be taught as a stand-alone specialty course to certified divers or integrated into other NAUI certification courses.

    • Graduates are considered competent to utilize EANx (up to EAN40) in open water diving activities without direct supervision

  • Refresher Scuba – Continuing education

    Description: This is a non-certification program which affords supervised refresher experience at the Scuba Diver level for divers who need to re-establish proficiency due to diving inactivity or other factors.

  • Rescue Scuba Diver – Continuing education

    Description: This course trains divers in the knowledge and skills needed to manage risks and effectively handle limited in-water problems and diving emergencies.

    • Skills include assists, transports, surface rescues and rescues from depth involving both boat- and shore-based skin and scuba divers.

    • Meets the prerequisite rescue diver training for NAUI Skin Diving Instructor, NAUI Assistant Instructor, NAUI Divemaster and NAUI Instructor certifications.

  • Underwater Naturalist – Specialty

    Description: This is a continuing education course designed to expose the diver to the physical and biological aspects of the diving environment with emphasis on the local area.

    • Expose the diver to fresh water and saltwater ecology and environment.

    • Methods used by underwater ecologists in their studies of the respective ecosystems

    • The use of current events and news of recovered and threatened ecosystems are an important part of this course

  • Wreck Diver (External Survey) – Specialty

    Description: This course is to provide the diver with the skills and knowledge needed to gain experience and minimize risks in wreck diving.

    • Wreck diving (external survey) is defined as diving around a sunken vessel, aircraft or debris field

    • Continuing Education

  • Divemaster – Leadership

    Description: The NAUI Divemaster rating is the highest NAUI leadership level certification except for instructor.

    • Designed to train experienced and knowledgeable divers to organize and conduct enjoyable open water dives for certified divers.

    • If all other prerequisites are met, a current NAUI Divemaster is qualified to enter a NAUI Instructor Training Course (ITC).
